A great read into the idea of Chatbots being opened up to the Apple Watch ecosystem. I am seeing Chatbots coming into their own lately more and more. They're a fantastic way to open up dialogue with your target audience for customer services, sales tools, gamification and just general engagement. Done right they can be extremely effective. It is amazing to see that there are over 11,000 available on Facebook messenger already. I recently came across a bot inside a messaging app called Kik for high street retailer H&M that helps you work out your preferred clothing appeal and then gives you recommendations for your upcoming summer and winter wardrobes. It's very effective and intuitive and i can see it becoming the way of the future. Now if i could have this on my wrist when I'm out shopping aimlessly we might just solve one of the biggest problems of man kind.... well maybe not but i do like where this is going.
I’m talking about chatbots, of course. These personal assistants, which normally run within a messaging app (like Facebook Messenger or another client), can have a conversation with you about the weather, your schedule, or even what you want to order for lunch. They can become trusted companions, reminding you about events and feeding you stock quotes. I used one recently to help me arrange a flight, and another to find restaurants that serve cheese curds. There are 11,000 chatbots on Facebook Messenger, with more to come.
